Grouse Camp 2010 is now a memory!  We sure had a great time though, lot’s of great dog work, friendship and the food was world class!   We had a large group this year with puppy owners and friends arriving and leaving at many different times.  I love watching all of our puppies hunt form so many of our different litters and we had representatives from every litter we’ve done, it makes me so proud.

We had pups from our last litter come to hunt and watching 5  month old pups nail their bird work and hunt so hard always thrills me!  I have to admit I choked a shot on a woodcock when I saw Scout, Aspen x Cash puppy at 5 months come in and slam a point on a woodcock.  I had the shot but I was so intent on watching the pup so rock solid I blew it, sorry Scout!

Thanks to all of our puppy owners who made dinners a wonderful event every night and to my hubby who did some fantastic dinners too!  I hope to add the grouse camp photos to our photo galleries soon, I have to admit I love this season so much!  I am going from deer to goose to upland birds and back again so not much time to complete my computer tasks until late at night.

The photo for this blog is Izzy & Royal, Riley x Velvet pups who at 15 months did an awesome job everytime they hunted for us.  Both had exceptional bird work every bird they encountered and did some amazing retrieves for us, water and land!
